A lot of zoning is in place to protect the environment. So when someone builds without going through the zoning process there's absolutely the possibility that they have created an environmental issue.

Now i had no idea that environmental court was a thing....but I imagine this is what they are getting at.

They always have a big beard too. I'll get downvoted but "beard culture" is a thing and IMO there's a huge correlation between insecure dudes and beards. Their beard becomes their identity. In this case he want his beard to say "I'm a really badass dude who probably is some sort of secret military hence my need for this testosterone infused beard of mine"

Fucking hate that Dan Bilzerian idolizing BS mindset. Deck yourself out in 5.11, grow a big bushy beard, wear a olive drab scarf around, and tell everyone you're a military contractor when in reality you're just a sad little boy in a meathead body, hiding behind your guns and "alpha" appearance.

To be clear I don’t mean private jet like swanky jet liner. I mean like single seat fighter style jet.

I had this discussion with someone else recently and they mentioned that, apparently, there is someone or a few someone’s in the general area who own small training type jets.

The low altitude flight does raise the question of legality if not for training. But I can tell you the jet that I saw is not an American jet commonly used for training in our area (def not an F15, 16, 18, 22, 35 etc) almost looked like a Mig.

Hasn’t happened since but if it does I’ll check the flight radar.

Wtf….I live in Fletcher and have been home all day and haven’t heard a thing.

That being said, every once in awhile a jet that appears to maybe be privately owned will buzz the mountain behind my house top gun flyby/fortunate son style. I’ve felt like the Vietcong out in my garden all tranquil and quiet, and then within 5 second a very low roar becomes ear piercing and a fighter jet screams over close enough to touch it. Gone and silent just as fast as it came. Because of the topography where I live it will literally go from silent to ear piercing fighter jet noise in seconds. Kinda cool honestly.

Whereabouts in Fletcher? I’m curious now if someone nearby has a private jet that they fly a lot. Also find it funny that I grew up in Vt and barely knew of Fletcher, now I live here and seem to randomly find people who also live in Fletcher quite often.

Avoid that Chrysler like the plague.

IMO if you are truly experiencing mud season there’s no replacement for ground clearance. An AWD car will get stuck on an otherwise passable road if it bottoms out. A tall vehicle with FWD and decent tires will still likely make it through.

I think it’s important to know what degree of mud season you experience. Like some of the comments here indicate to me that people are like “oh yeah the half mile of dirt road I travel once a week gets kinda squishy so I know mud season!” - meanwhile there have been entire months of March where I can’t drive my 4wd truck within half a mile of my house. And trucks taller/four-wheel-drivier than mine are stuck.

We refill our 300gal tank once a month from November to March or so. Usually I fill when it gets down to 25% and they usually only fill to 75%- so that’s about 150gal per month.

Once winter is done we will go the entire summer without refilling. So probably 150gal between May and October. March to May it really depends on the year.

House is 2400sqft, we have a small wood stove in our addition with vaulted ceilings so the wood stove mostly just heats that room but on a mild day it will heat the whole first floor. Woodstove runs pretty much 24/7 from November until March. Otherwise we have baseboard heat and our hot water comes off our boiler as well. We don’t do anything else with propane (cook, run generator, etc)

Don’t you love excavating some coals, piling some kindling and splits on top of them, and sitting there as the coals start to glow brighter, the kindling starts to pyrolyze, you can start to hear more air intake, and finally POOF everything goes up in flames. It’s especially great early on a cold dark winter morning before anyone else is up while you can smell your coffee brewing. Hnnng 🤤
